Rich Roll, Ultra-Marathoner and Ironman, is Plant Strong

I just finished reading a great book by Rich Roll called Finding Ultra. For anyone who participates in athletics or just takes care of the kids and wonders what might happen if they changed to a whole-foods plant based diet rich in superfoods, the answer is in Rich’s book. I recommend this book for two reasons. First, it contains Rich Roll’s inspiring story about overcoming alcoholism and middle-aged lethargy. Second, he has included a resources chapter that lists all the best plant-based nutrition primers and cookbooks, as well as a long list of plantpower-friends websites that will get you inspired too!

Rich Roll is a fan of some of my favorite medical researchers, including Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Dr. John McDougall, and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn.

Lately, more and more I find myself asking our Chiropractic Advantage patients things like “I know you just came in for back pain, but do you mind if I help try to save your life while you’re here?” And more and more or our patients are saying “yes!” There’s a quiet turning of the tide going on, and I want you to be part of it.
